Our restaurant offers conservatory dining in summer with views of the wildlife in our walled garden and Victorian greenhouse. Our food is firmly based in the fine larder of Scotland, drawing on traditional dishes and ingredients for inspiration and presenting them in a contemporary style. We use free range and organic produce from local suppliers.

Our daily changing menu offers variety for our guests staying for several days - often on our discounted Dinner, Bed & Breakfast (DBB) breaks and reflects the changing seasons thus you will enjoy local asparagus in May, strawberries in July and not October!

All of our eggs are free range, from a local farmer, and our breakfasts owe a great deal to our local, award winning and Royal warrant holding village shops - butcher (Sheridan’s) and baker (Chalmers) & grocer (Ballater Flowers). We offer variety with breakfasts with a different special daily.

Our sample menus are on the links to the side.

Our bar stocks over 40 whiskies - featuring North East malts especially to offer variety from Speyside & Islay - we do have those as well, We offer a real ale that changes weekly and if you have a favourite we will do what we can to lay it in.  Enjoy your drinks by the log fires in the bar and lounge in our comfy chairs and sofas.

Our wine list has a good selection of the world of wine and has an interesting bin ends list with some very good and some unusual choices.
